QXR Coin Sorter/Separator
The US Mint pays face value for coins retrieved from shredded automobiles and appliances, regardless of condition and quantity. Would you be surprised to know, a typical shredder can earn up to or well over $2,000 per day just on coin collection? The QXR-Mcc is designed to maximize coin collection. Recent tests indicate the QXR-Mcc recovers 20 to 30% more coins than manual methods (picking lines). Coins are further sorted by denomination, with close to 100% accuracy.

The QXR-Mcc is a proprietary, multi-channel, Energy Dispersive X-ray Flourescence (EDXRF) spectrometer for non-destructive sorting and separating of US coins (nickels, dimes, quarters, half-dollars, dollars - all types) from small cut heavies. Pennies and precious metals materials (gold, silver) may be recovered with the addition of optional channels. The QXR-Mcc provides years of reliable, fast and accurate separation for increased quality assurance and maximum recovery and purity of resalable product.

QXR Wheel Sorter
Wheel rims represent a significant source of scrap metal destined for specialty smelters. Our QXR-Mw is designed to inspect each rim for small stainless steel inserts, lead weights and plated components. When these materials are identified, these rims are ejected to a collection area for removal of those contaminants. This unique technology insures all materials bound for the specialty smelter are of the highest quality.

The QXR-Mw is a proprietary, three channel, Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) for non-destructive sorting and separating of shredded aluminum wheel pieces. The pieces will be separated into 3 different classes; clean aluminum, poisoned (Pb and Brass) aluminum, and plated aluminum. The QXR-Mw provides years of reliable, fast and accurate separation for increased quality assurance and maximum recovery and purity of resalable product.
